Just Velvet reserves right to refuse refunds and/or exchanges if deemed fit.  We try our best to serve our customers to the greatest of our ability.  All our products are made to order therefore as soon as an order is confirmed through Paypal, your order begins.  On all orders, a minimum of 5 hours for cookies, 24 hours for cupcakes and 48 hours for cakes. Custom or large order desserts may take longer, so plan ahead.  Special consideration will be given to rush orders for a nominal fee.  Special occasion cakes (Happy Birthday) would need to be added in the Additional Information section where is says “Special writing on cake”. Preferred coloring for cakes (if applicable) can also be selected at checkout under the same section.  Please make sure all spellings are correct before placing your order.  If an error is noticed after ordering, contact us immediately to correct the issue.  Remember to select the due date for your dessert, so we know the priority and completion it needs.  Complete the Special Cake Quote form under the tab on the right of the same name on the home page for any custom orders.  We’ll expediently try to answers all of your questions, along with giving you the correct pricing based on the dessert you need.

 

FOOD ALLERGIES

All of our products are baked individually in a nut free environment so customers with nut allergy should not fear. We only use natural dairy products; butter, eggs, milk, cream, yogurt and cheese products. Please let us know if you are Lactose Intolerant, or have any medical issues so we can make the proper substitution.  Our vegan option(s) are 100% dairy-free.  In our Pomegranate Surprise, Strawberry Passion, Jamaican Black Cake and Cruel Carrot Cakes, we use real vegetables and fruits.  In the Jamaican Black  Cake, we also use Jamaican Rum and Port wine.  Take note of this, when ordering one of these desserts.  We are not responsible of any allergic reaction(s) after consuming any of our products.

 

PICKING UP ORDERS

Since this is a home-based business, we feel it’s best not to publicize our address boldly over the internet.  If you are picking up your order and are paying through Paypal, after you go through the checkout process, the company’s address will be located in multiple areas after you place your order.  It’s at the footnote of your confirmation email, it’s available after you press The Just Velvet link back to the site after paying with Paypal and it’s available in your order account information (in view order).  You can always contact us if you have issues finding the address.

 

PAYMENT METHODS.

We accept both Cash and Paypal for payment.  If you don’t have a Paypal account before, don’t worry!  Paypal allows you to set up an account and pay on your Debit/Credit in a secure, swift fashion easily. Half payment is required before we start your order.  You can change or upgrade an order after payment, but we need to be contacted ASAP for any changes!  We give customers a 3 hour window to cancel or make changes after payment to their initial order.  After, no refunds after initial payments is processed.  Changes may cost extra depending on what that change is, and how far along we are in processing your order.

 

SUBSCRIPTION TO THE JUST VELVET

When you order from us, you are automatically subscribed to our company.  DON’T FREAK OUT!!!  We don’t spam your email with hundreds of thousands of emails.  We do this so when we have special offers like a slice of “Just Red Velvet Cake” slice for $2.50 or coupons, you know about it.  These deals will NOT be advertised on our site or social media, so staying subscribed to us, will be a great benefit to you.  This is us treating the neighborhood!

 

CUPCAKE ORDERS

Cupcakes are now available to order using shop!  Minimum order amount for cupcakes is by the dozen. PLEASE NOTE:  Our  standard  cupcakes, includes the dessert itself, any color(s) and your desire for icing/decorations (describe in checkout).  A nominal fee will be charged for any additional designs (i.e. fondant, flower) as agreed upon through the Special Cake Quote.

 

KNOWING WHEN YOUR ORDER IS READY

You will be notified when your order is ready by text and or email.  You can also view the progress of your order on your online account as follows:

Processing – When we are verifying payment and/or making your order.

Completed – When everything is checked out payment-wise and your order is fully complete and ready for pickup.

 

DELIVERY
